DESCRIPTION:Explore all that the Horticulture Display Garden has to offer during the 50th annual Horticulture Night at the University of Minnesota West Central Research and Outreach Center\, Morris. Experience beautiful flower gardens\, meandering paths\, and creative landscape ideas while taking in a variety of horticultural demonstrations*. Food booths\, vendor and education booths\, and cow milking demonstration also on tap during Horticulture Night.\n\n\nDemonstrations include:\n\norchids\nlandscape design\nherb gardening\ngrowing tomatoes\n50 years of annual flowers\nprotecting pollinators\nrain gardens.\nMore info at https://wcroc.cfans.umn.edu/events/hort-night\n\n\nThe WCROC Horticulture Display Garden expands nearly three acres and includes plantings from several plant breeding companies from around the world. All flowers are labeled\, allowing visitors to take note of top performing cultivars under regional conditions. Plant materials include annual flowers\, perennials\, trees\, shrubs\, vegetables\, natives\, aquatic\, and tropicals.\n\nHorticulture Night is open to the public with FREE admission. Registration required upon arrival.\n\n\n* Demonstrations will be spread out throughout the Garden\, allowing participants to freely go from one station to another. There will be no set start and end time for these demonstrations. This allows for social distancing. We encourage participants to ask questions at the stations that are of interest to them\, while going through the various stations at their own comfort level.\nWe encourage you to bring your own seating since there will be no bleachers. Also\, please note there will be no tents (to avoid crowding together) so bring an umbrella for shade if you desire.\nSocial distancing and facemasks required for those who are not fully vaccinated.
