Celebrate Fall at Septemberfest in Morris

Clear your Sunday schedule because Septemberfest is bringing a full day of food, fellowship and family-friendly fun to Morris on Sept. 20.

Hosted by Assumption Catholic Church, this annual celebration has a little bit of everything: raffles and auctions, a children’s carnival, a car show, live entertainment, plenty of food and even a place to watch the Minnesota Vikings take on the Chicago Bears.

The day begins with early-bird tent shopping and raffle ticket sales at 9 a.m. A special Mass featuring the Renew Choir follows at 10 a.m., with food, entertainment, shopping and activities continuing throughout the afternoon.

Come Hungry

Septemberfest offers plenty of reasons to arrive with an appetite. Outdoor food options include grilled burgers, hot dogs, authentic tacos and tamales, loaded baked potatoes and ice cream shakes. Pop and water will also be available.

Adults can stop by the Knights of Columbus Beer Garden for beer from Old No. 1 Brewhouse, plus music and dancers.

Early-Bird Tent Shopping

Time: 9 a.m.

Start the day by browsing the under-the-tent sales and purchasing raffle tickets. Raffle winners will be announced at 3 p.m.

Special Mass With the Renew Choir

Time: 10 a.m.

Attend a special Septemberfest Mass featuring music from the Renew Choir.

Silent auction item available during Septemberfest in Morris

Silent Auction

Closing times: First table at 1 p.m.; second table at 1:30 p.m.

Browse the auction selections and place your bids before each table closes. You may even find something you can’t leave without.

Vikings vs. Bears

Kickoff: Noon

Keep up with the game while enjoying the festivities as the Minnesota Vikings face the Chicago Bears.

Vehicles on display at the Septemberfest car show in Morris

Time: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Take a walk through the car show and check out the vehicles on display.

St. Mary’s Children’s Carnival

Time: After dinner

Bring the kids along for carnival fun during the afternoon celebration.

$1 Basket Raffle

Time: 2 to 3 p.m.

Get your entries in before all raffle winners are announced at 3 p.m.
