Connections Day is more than a summer event. It's a celebration of the people, cultures and stories that make West Central Minnesota feel like home.
Hosted by Conexiones, this free community celebration brings together food, music, culture and family fun for an evening designed to help people connect.
On Saturday, June 27, the Lee Community Center in Morris will come alive with Mexican food, live music, dance performances, laser tag, a petting zoo, a taco eating contest and plenty of ways to enjoy a summer evening together.

Connections Day is a free community celebration that brings people together through food, culture, music and family fun. Throughout the evening, visitors can enjoy live performances, interactive activities, local food vendors and experiences designed for all ages.

Grupo Quinientos7 and the Community Band bring the soundtrack.
Enjoy folkloric dance and a Girls' Escaramuza demonstration.

Connections Day was designed with families in mind.
Kids can bounce between face painting, balloon twisting, laser tag and family games while parents enjoy the entertainment, browse vendors and soak in the festive atmosphere. It's the kind of event where everyone can find something they enjoy, no matter their age.
And at 6 p.m., one of the evening's most popular attractions arrives: Erickson's Petting Zoo. Children and adults alike can get up close to a variety of friendly animals in a safe, interactive setting. It's a hands-on experience that creates smiles, sparks curiosity and gives kids one more reason to remember the day.
Bring Your Appetite
Food has a way of bringing people together, and Connections Day is serving up plenty of reasons to pull up a chair.
Food vendors will be serving Mexican cuisine throughout the evening, giving visitors the perfect opportunity to try something new or enjoy a familiar favorite while taking in the festivities.
Then at 7 p.m., things get a little competitive. The Taco Eating Contest is one of the most anticipated moments of the evening and guarantees plenty of laughs for participants and spectators alike.
