Grab your lawn chairs, your appetite, and get ready for some summer fun—because the RUSC Kinship Garden Gala is turning 10, and you’re invited to the party of the season!
Join us on Tuesday, July 15 from 5–7:30 PM at Pomme de Terre Park in Morris, MN for an evening packed with good eats, great people, and the kind of fun you can only find at a small-town summer celebration. This year’s event isn’t just a fundraiser—it’s a birthday bash for a decade of community connection.
A New Spot for a Time-Tested Tradition
This year, we’re celebrating in the beautiful green space of Pomme de Terre Park, and we couldn’t be more excited. With plenty of room to spread out, play, and soak in the summer vibes, it’s the perfect spot to mark 10 years of RUSC Kinship doing what it does best—bringing people together.
It’s also home to the Kinship Community Patio, a special space built through the support of community members who purchased engraved bricks as tributes, memorials, or messages of encouragement. Each brick tells a story and reflects the shared commitment to youth mentoring in our area—a lasting reminder that this community truly believes in showing up for its kids.
Pork Chop Meal
The Stevens County Pork Producers are firing up the grill for a mouthwatering pork chop dinner. It’s a free-will donation, so come hungry and give generously!
Root Beer Floats
BMO is serving up sweet, fizzy nostalgia with icy-cold root beer floats. Is it even summer without one?
Face Painting & Free Kids’ Activities
Let the little ones run wild (in the best way). From painted faces to hands-on fun, the kiddos will be all smiles.

Back by popular demand: Kids vs. LEOs (Law Enforcement Officers)! Our favorite Stevens County law enforcement officers are suiting up for the ultimate splash battle.
